Invasive Species Program Propane Program Neighbors for a SAFE Bay Shore Drive, NFSBSD

Neighbors for a SAFE Bay Shore Drive (NFSBSD) has a vision to transform Bay Shore Drive into a premier example of road safety for pedestrians, drivers, cyclists, pets, and wildlife through a combination of community awareness, police enforcement, and thoughtful traffic-calming measures.

This group isn't focused on changing the current speed limit, but on increasing awareness among everyone who drives, bikes, or walks on Bay Shore Drive and our surrounding roads. With the many curves along Bay Shore Drive and the frequent presence of wildlife crossing the road, extra caution is essential for everyone’s safety.

If you walk, consider wearing bright colors so drivers can see you. If you bike, make sure you dress in bright colors and have your flashing lights working. If you drive, honor the speed limits and be courteous to all other road users.
